Human Services, Peel Housing Corporation


Status: Contract Full Time, 13 months


Salary Range: $73,482 to $91,853 per annum plus comprehensive benefits


Work mode: Hybrid* see below for more details about this work mode


Location: 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga and Various Peel Living Buildings or Emergency Shelters within the Region of Peel


Hours of work:  35 hours per week, Monday through Friday (Occasional evenings and weekends will be required)

What You Will Do In This Role


  • Lead as directed, the review and follow-up of current processes, including outstanding work orders and payable invoices, ensuring compliance with budget schedules and established site standards and procedures
  • Monitor the activities of each project by being on site on a regular basis
  • Make recommendations concerning the requirement, development and coordination of effective programs for building maintenance
  • Coordinate and support logistics for operational elements of vendor work, projects, programs, site events or site functions
  • Support the Property Managers with the preparation of scopes of work, site budgets, site communications, and makes day-to-day operational decisions, in conjunction with other members of team
  • Monitor and prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports related to specific site activities
  • Ensure that standards and procedures for the operation of buildings are carried out supporting Peel Living’s service delivery, complying with relevant legislation
  • Monitor day to day requirements/requests for repairs
  • Monitor expenditures monthly


What The Role Requires


  • Knowledge of general building operations and maintenance
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and regulations related to Property Management and relevant legislation
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written; proven ability to present to various audiences, both internal and external including vulnerable/homeless population
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree with at least 3 years related property management experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Ability to travel and access to reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of building systems and the maintenance requirements of residential rental units and technical audits

Location: In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga worksite along with v arious Peel Living Buildings or Emergency Shelters within the Region of Peel The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.


Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday (Occasional evenings and weekends will be required).
