Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager who is reliable,


detail-oriented, and hard-working. You will be tasked with ensuring


quality service throughout our rental portfolio while managing


day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administrative duties.


Responsibilities Include


Customer Service/Tenant Relations


 * Manage a portfolio of residential (high and low rise) and


commercial properties


 * Maintain property rentals by filling vacancies, preparing, and


enforcing leases for prospective tenants


 * Prepare and facilitate contracts with tenants and collect security


deposits


 * Collect and record incoming rents, deal with late payments, prepare


all necessary reports, and summarize data as necessary


 * Ensure all vacant suites become ready to rent as soon as possible


 * Respectively address all tenant questions and concerns in a timely


manner


 * Ability to build strong tenant relationships


 * Keep detailed records of tenant communications and all proposed


solutions


 * Supervise building repairs and maintenance work to ensure quality


control and work is completed as contracted


 * Terminate leases, initiate eviction proceedings, and serve legal


documents as directed by Executive Team


 * On-call support for after-hour emergencies


 * Promptly respond in a professional manner to all emergencies and


document accurately


 * Analyze rental market on a periodic basis and stay on top of trends


in the region’s rental market


 * Additional duties as assigned by Executive Team


Qualifications


 * Preference to candidate with a degree or diploma in Property


Management or business, or three years related managerial experience


in rental property management or equivalent combination of education


and experience.


 * Knowledge and experience with the Residential Tenancy Act


 * Experience with Yardi property management systems considered an


asset


 * Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
