Your technical expertise will prove equally valuable as you inform and educate senior managers, business users and technology peers on technology trends and the effective use of business and technology solutions and information management.

  • Identify, mitigate, avoid and/or remove roadblocks or project risks by proactively identifying and monitoring technology project risks/issues to develop mitigation/resolution plans that support successful project completion, escalating where necessary.
  • Plan, design and direct the project to deliver on the technology roadmap’s goals.
  • Develop and design mechanisms and metrics to report project management (PM) team progress and performance (e.g. key performance indicators, lessons learned, client satisfaction surveys) for leadership team decision-making.
  • Advise, coach and mentor other project staff and/or stakeholders.
  • Monitor technology-related project work for compliance with established organizational processes and mandates.
  • Develop project management tools, resources, and processes aligned with best practices
  • Conduct regular monthly analysis of budget and utilization variances.
  • Develop, forecast, track and communicate technology project resource and budget requirements for stakeholders.
  • Lead and drive all activities during implementation, requirements gathering, design, installation, training, deployment and evaluation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, plan, and lead communication with project stakeholders; foster positive stakeholder relationships and allocate timely resources across all business units.
  • Educate and coach teams on established standardized Project Management methodologies and processes to provide direction for assigned projects.
  • Take ownership of and responsibility for full-cycle project management for the complex implementation of key technology-related strategic projects (O365, CRM integration, Telephony, SAP upgrade) from initiation to close out (e.g. scope, budget, timeline, resource allocation, task sequence, developing performance goals).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Considerable experience with contract negotiations, procurement procedures and Vendor and Contract Management.
  • Knowledge of and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is considered an asset.
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Ability to manage large-scale multi-divisional technology projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Extensive experience managing all aspects of transformational enterprise-wide IT projects in complex, multi-departmental environments (including budget and timeline management, scope management, estimating and managing project resources, risk management, issues management, organizational change management, timely decision-making, critical path identification, business transformation, data transformation/migration, user experience optimization, etc.).
  • Experience working in a matrix project management environment using tools such as Microsoft Enterprise Project Management, SharePoint, or other equivalent project schedule and project document management tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including effectively communicating project status to multiple streams of Executive and Senior management, business and technical stakeholders for assigned projects.
  • Excellent people management skills and experience working with and managing technical project teams in application development and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools for planning and implementing complex projects and packages.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
