Project Accountant Jobs

Description

This Mississauga based Land Development company is seeking a well rounded Project Accountant to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for the following;

• Verify transactions to comply with accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare and support with monthly and quarterly HST filing process
• Produce management reports for the control and tracking of each corporate entity
• Oversee and assist AP/AR processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, and review/approve bank reconciliations
• Prepare Journal entries
• Responsible for month-end and year-end closing
• Assist the controller with ERP maintenance and producing reports
• Manage and create chargebacks across entities
• Produce, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures Reporting & Analysis

Including

• Sensitivity analysis
• Monthly variance analysis
• Profitability and cashflows

Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Accounting
• CPA or CMA accreditation or in progress will be considered an asset
• Excellent working knowledge of month-end close and reporting processes
• Experience with Acumatica/New Star/Yardi will be an asset
• 3+ years of experience in related roles
• Familiarity with corporate accounting and handling multiple entities
