TPD is proud to support our renowned and growing Canadian-owned and operating client to secure multiple full-time Machine Operator. Our client is seeking entry-level to skilled workers to support the production of high-quality roofing materials in High River, Alberta
These full-time permanent Machine Operator positions offer a competitive starting salary of $25.30 / hour to start, going up to $27.30 / hour after 12 months. The company invests in its employees by providing ample training; therefore previous experience is preferred but not required.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment, including operating a forklift.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operate manufacturing equipment
• Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
• Enter waste, downtime data into system.
• Inspect raw material and finish products per quality specifications, and conduct quality checks at regular intervals
• Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures, and complete general housekeeping duties and additional duties, as assigned

What You Will Need

• 1 year experience in industrial manufacturing or construction preferred but not required
• Forklift experience an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work a rotational shift
• Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves) at all times required
