Contract Operator Jobs

Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Contract Operator, to work a long-term contract, at a well-established oil and gas company, in Edson, AB. In this role, you will participate in the operation and maintenance of gas wells and facilities, ensuring maximum performance and day-to-day management of wells, pipelines, and compressors. If you have previous Field / Plant operating experience, and you reside in the Edson area, then this job is yours!

• Location: Edson, AB
• Shifts: 8 Days on, 6 Days off; 10 hours /day
• Job type: Full-time | Long-Term Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and promote HSE policies, goals, and management system
• Set goals, achieve and measure results as part of the team
• Maintain accounting books
• Perform housekeeping, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
• Prioritize HSE issues in all activities and promote a safety culture
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Understand and perform safety, environmental, and regulatory responsibilities

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Valid safety tickets (First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS, and H2S certifications)
• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada, with no restrictions
• Must reside in the Edson area
• Strong knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP)
• Able to work within a team environment
• High school diploma / GED is required
• Oil and gas operating experience is preferred
• Strong field/plant operating background is a must
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License with driver's abstract are required
