Our client in the Not-for-Profit sector is seeking a Controller for contract/temporary role. The Controller will be responsible for ongoing financial oversight; review of payments, payroll, supervision of finance staff, month end closing and review of prepared reports, and assisting with monthly meetings for budget holders. In addition, the Controller will work with various departments and provide quarterly reports for the Board, support on development of grant budgets for proposals and interim and/or final financial reporting to funder, potential support for annual budgeting processes. This role is a contract/temporary opportunity based in the Canmore, AB. region. This role is open to hybrid (work from office/work from home) remote working concessions for eligible candidates.

Requirements
MUST HAVES:

• Public Accounting experience is a definite asset
• Accounting designation and in-depth working experience as a Controller preferably with supervisory responsibilities and will ideally have experience working with multiple currencies
• Knowledge and experience with budgeting is desired
• NPO background is preferred but not required
• Strong analytical ability with good organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Hands-on experience working through audits
