Production Operator Jobs

Westbrick Energy is currently searching for a Production Operator. This is a Contract position in the Edson area location, reporting to the Production Foreman.

Shift will be 8 on/6 off rotation. Westbrick prides itself on safety, compliance, and a positive work environment.

Job purpose

This position is responsible maintaining production through safe an efficient operation of gas plant and several gas wells. Monitors, optimize and reports production volumes on a daily basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

·Completing safe work permits and orientations

·Monitor run costs and optimize

·Monitor chemical programs

·Minor maintenance on pumps, engines, etc.

·Assist Lead Op in start-ups

·Complete CMDS competency system

·On call 24 hour/day when on shift

·Identify hazards and report incidents

·Monthly safety inspections

·Inspection deficiency repair (LADAR, cathodic, TIER 1)

·Pigging/batching pipelines and reporting

·Organizing site shutdowns, overhauls, and general maintenance

·Daily leak detection and proration monitoring

·Monitor and optimize production

·Help lead track/schedule non-rotating maintenance

·Complete daily area report and distribute

·Enter daily production into FDC system

·Complete daily log sheets

·Monitor and report fuel, flare and vent occurrences

Qualifications

·Successful candidate will reside in Edson area (within 100km)

·Gas plant experience would be an asset

·Ability to work independently

·Ability to troubleshoot, schedule, problem solve production/operations in order to achieve company goals

·Positive attitude and sense of teamwork

Highly motivated, strong work ethic with excellent communication skills

·Required safety certifications: First Aid, H2S Alive, TDG, WHIMIS, CMDS competency training
