We reinvest in our business to support research and development in our production methods, technologies, and product lines to ensure we remain at the cutting-edge of the conservation industry.*Job Summary*The Shredding Line Operator, under the direction of the Shredding Line Supervisor, will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the shredding line as required, producing a clean, quality product; maintaining machines and cleanliness of plant; ensuring safety, including regulatory, awareness of all equipment and operations.*Schedule*We are looking for Operators to cover our day and nights shifts with a rotational schedule.*Location*This position is located in Sturgeon County and candidates will need to work on-site and have reliable transportation to and from work.*Compensation*This role starts at $18.70 per hour. After 3 months of employment, your hourly rate will increase to $19.40. After 6-months of employment, your hourly rate will increase to $20.49.*Responsibilities** Sort tires, remove debris.* Repetitive motion.* Ensure all pre-checks are done on shredder machines at the start of shift (notifies of any deficiencies immediately).* Able to follow verbal directions.* Ensures all equipment is kept clean in the shredder area.* Reports any problems to the supervisor immediately.* Communicate with manager/employees before the shift to determine any issues.* Performs all functions according to proper company safety practices and regulations.* Maintains good communication with fellow workers, supervisors, and managers.* Performs other duties as required.*Requirements** Previous labor experience is preferred* Class 5 Driver’s License and must have own means of transportation* Mechanically inclined is an asset* Ability to understand and follow directions accurately* Knowledge of proper safety procedures in and around equipment and machines* Good communication skills oral and written* Ability to learn new tasks quickly and apply them accurately* Ability to work well as part of a team* Ability to work in inclement weather*What Liberty offer’s the right candidate:** A fun, down to earth team* A rewarding career* Long term and stable employment* Comprehensive Benefits* Boot Allowance reimbursement* On-the-Job Training, and opportunity for continued learning* Safety Training, Programs and Committee* Referral Bonus – Earn up to $1,000 for referring someoneJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $18.70-$19.40 per hourBenefits:* Dental care* Employee assistance program* Extended health care* Life insurance* On-site parking* Paid time off* RRSP matchSchedule:* Evening shift* Monday to Friday* Morning shift* Night shift* Overtime* Weekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:* Legal, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Language:* English (preferred)Work Location: In person
