Job Description
With millions of diners, tens of thousands of restaurants, and 23+ years of experience, OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a unique insight into the world of hospitality. We champion restaurants, bars, wineries, and other venues around the world, helping them attract guests, manage capacity, improve operations and maximize revenue.

Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global network that includes OpenTable and KAYAK's portfolio of travel brands including Swoodoo, checkfelix, momondo, Cheapflights, Mundi and HotelsCombined.

Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture. You’ll work in a welcoming and inclusive environment, and get the benefits, flexibility, and support you need to succeed.

As the Product Marketing Manager for OpenTable’s Payments Platform, you will help craft the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies for our global payments services. Our team is passionate about our Payments Platform because it helps restaurants take card payments quickly and easily. This enables them to protect against no-shows, monetize their special and unique experiences, and increase revenue by providing diners with more opportunities to make upfront purchases.

You will be responsible for driving global growth in payments processing volume by identifying which customer segments we can serve, understanding both the restaurant and diner needs, and using those insights to directly improve our product roadmap. You will drive go-to-market positioning, strategy, and execution as we expand our feature set and markets, and guide growth of payments processing globally. This is a high-impact role that requires a strong understanding of payments technology, consumer behavior, merchant problems, and the product development processes.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support go-to-market initiatives with tight project management and operational efficiency as you coordinate many moving pieces across multiple time zones and departments
  • Partner closely with product to develop and drive the payments strategy
  • Be the champion of “Why OpenTable Payments?” across the business – aiding in the development of competitive and differentiated positioning and helping to ensure that positioning is applied across our entire customer journey
  • Conduct market and user research (both qualitative and quantitative) and regularly deliver useful insights to your working team to help craft the roadmap, develop ideal customer profiles, inform messaging and positioning and strengthen go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate with business development and partnerships teams to establish partnerships and integrations that improve the payments platform
  • Drive the beta testing process for all payments products, collect early feedback, find opportunities to improve both the product itself and how we message it, develop early proof points and testimonials, and help set each new product launch up for success
  • Partner with cross-functional collaborators across marketing, product, sales, and more on the end-to-end planning and execution of go-to-market strategies

Please Apply If

  • Shown success collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading high impact go-to-market campaigns
  • Outstanding project management skills; results focused with superb execution and follow-through; highly attentive to detail
  • You are able to manage highly independent sophisticated projects and keep your work streams on track while also keeping your partners and team members advised
  • 3+ years of product marketing experience in a B2B technology environment with direct experience in a payments, FinTech, or e-commerce role; bonus points if you’ve worked within an app marketplace
  • Experience planning and driving both market and customer research and delivering practical insights that have influenced the roadmap
  • You can digest highly technical concepts into simple ideas anyone can understand
  • You know how to adjust, pivot, keep moving, and stay motivated in a changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience messaging to internal and external audiences

A Few Of The Benefits You Get At OpenTable—

  • Access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings
  • Health, dental & vision plans
  • Enriched learning and development opportunities
  • 401k with company match
  • Focus on your career growth
  • Company-wide weeks off each year - the whole team fully recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!)
  • Paid volunteer time
  • Leadership development
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Company paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth
  • Generous paid vacation + time off for your birthday
  • Company paid subscription to HeadSpace
  • Work from (almost) anywhere; wherever you do your best work
  • Focus on mental health and well-being

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

OpenTable aspires to be a workplace that reflects the diverse communities we serve and a culture that is inclusive and welcoming. Hiring people with different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and ideas is critical to innovation and to how we deliver great experiences for our users and our partners. Representation matters.
