Who we’re looking for

This role will be responsible for the print production process, including Direct Mail, from inception to execution, and will act as a subject matter expert within BIMM. They will be responsible for identifying production needs, ensuring best practices are adhered to, providing counsel, and collaborating to develop new ideas. An ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, problem solve, and provide proactive solutions is key.

The Print Producer will work closely with the Creative team, Creative Services team, Client Services, as well as Operations. The Print Producer will effectively manage the print production process at BIMM, ensuring excellence in all areas from ideation to QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and manage outside sources as required and co-ordinate deliverables
• Lead the print production process from inception to execution, managing several programs at once (including timeline development, estimate creation, resourcing, etc)
• Continually research new technologies providing recommendations on innovative technology and cost cutting solutions
• Collaborate fully with project teams to provide council on production process and develop innovative ideas that deliver to the brief
• Ensure acceptable quality standards by approving all quality-control checks including design, proofs, and attending press approvals and lettershop checks

Requirements

• Agency and/or printing house experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of the production process pertaining to print mediums (i.e. printing mechanics, Canada Post specifications)
• Knowledge of data and lettershop instructions
• Highly developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• 4-6 years experience managing print production projects from inception to completion
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-starter who is able to work independently as well as part of a team and respond quickly and appropriately to changes
