Junior Producer
If you’re an organized, motivated production coordinator who wants to help change the world, we want to meet you!
About Pok Pok
Pok Pok is on a mission to raise the next generation of creative thinkers.
We’re the team behind the Apple Design Award-winning kids app, Pok Pok. We design educational, digital toys that empower kids to think outside the box, dream big and experiment freely. We believe in making digital play as accessible, creative and educational as the toys we grew up playing with on the floors of our living rooms.
Pok Pok is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage people of all races, religions, genders, abilities and sexual orientations to apply. We want the products we develop to reflect the diversity of the world we live in, and it starts with our own team.
About the Role
The Junior Producer will play an important role in the success of our company. You will work closely with our creative team, software developers and leadership to help manage app production, product launches and administrative tasks that directly impact our future as one of the most innovative, powerful brands in digital play and education.
We’re looking for someone who is motivated by our mission, is ready to work hard and is eager to affect positive change in our world, one young mind at a time. If you like coordinating lots of moving parts, are an organizational whiz and enjoy working with multiple teams and departments, keep reading!
This is a Toronto-based position with the flexibility to work from home and/or remotely as needed. Candidates must live in Ontario, come into our office regularly and be able to legally work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Help be the voice of our players by understanding their pain points, feedback and interests and communicating it with the different internal teams
- Plan and run in-person and virtual team production events
- Support our Head of Creative & Production in managing the production of our app from top to bottom
- Help manage schedules, deadlines and projects for our entire art, design and technical teams
- Coordinate and help plan, execute and communicate product releases between departments and external partners
- Liaise with translation teams and oversee localization for different regions
- Catalogue user feedback, help manage playtesting and coordinate user interviews
- Support the company with general administration tasks as needed, including managing purchasing, travel, hiring, privacy, compliance, etc.
You Have
- A genuine curiosity to make systems better, help others thrive and contribute to a better product
- A knack for self-starting, are confident in your abilities and don’t require micromanagement to work effectively
- Exceptional communication skills in all areas, including strong interpersonal communication, writing and editing skills
- A willingness to go the extra mile, taking on any challenges or tasks that arise
- Strong interpersonal skills and can get along well with all sorts of people and personalities—you’re not shy to be yourself and collaborate with others kindly
- A true eagerness to learn—you’re a natural “doer” and the words “it’s not my job” are not in your vocabulary.
- Relevant post-secondary education or work experience in game/tv/film production, communication or customer service
- Superb organization skills, great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
- The confidence and drive to feel comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment
Additional Skills (they’ll be useful on the job but aren’t must-haves)
- Experience working with apps, video games and/or in the kids space
- Experience public speaking and representing a brand to the public
More About Pok Pok

A few more awesome things about this role:
- Enjoy flexible working hours and arrangements, including working remotely
- We love field trips and like to go playtest with kids in our community, go on fact-finding trips for toy research, and learn about cool stuff at science centres, museums and toy stores. We have no fun at all.
- Work remotely or from our beautiful brick-and-beam office in the downtown core within walking distance to the Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market and Union Station
- Competitive compensation including employee stock options
