Policy Maintenance Specialist Jobs

We are seeking a Policy Maintenance Specialist to join our Coughlin team in Ottawa.

The Policy Maintenance Specialist is responsible for system maintenance and support for our Single Employer, Multi-Employer and Voluntary Life Plans and does so in a way as to enable the smooth operation and administration of the plans.

The Policy Maintenance Specialist will:

• Calculate premium rates for various benefits and process rate changes
• Apply and enforce company policies uniformly
• Clarify information from various sources before implementation
• Process implementation, amendments/updates, and termination of benefit plans
• Review and interpret policies and administrative practices and correctly apply them prior to implementation

To be successful as a Policy Maintenance Specialist with Coughlin & Associates, you will need:

• The ability to maintain good public relations, both within and outside the organization
• The ability to use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard office administration procedures
• The demonstrated ability to learn and master new software and technology
• The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures
• Superior data entry skills as well as strong mathematical and reconciliation skills
• Excellent grammatical, spelling and communication skills
• The ability to extract and appropriately interpret information from various sources
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and the ability to manage time effectively
