Role Overview

We are looking for:

• A motivated team member who will work collaboratively with a team of scientists to support the Research & Innovation and Business Development activities of the Phosphorus Specialties business.

We count on you for:

• Supporting new product introduction projects and process scale-up campaigns
• Performing other duties assigned with little or no supervision
• Applying wet chemistry techniques in the synthesis of new or existing products
• Assisting in the daily routine or non-routine operations of the laboratory
• Performing tasks safely and maintaining an organized and safe work environment for self and others
• Recording, interpreting, and reporting experimental results in an electronic lab notebook platform
• Communicating and formalizing test results in the form of technical and/or monthly reports
• Following company policies and complying with all applicable safety regulations and procedures
• Monitoring lab chemical inventory and replenishing supplies as required
• Handling air sensitive, pyrophoric and other hazardous chemicals in a safe manner using established procedures
• Participating in site safety programs, including inspections, audits, observations, and safety meetings, while completing all training as scheduled.
• Coordinating various aspects of samples and/or orders including preparing and packaging of samples for shipping and delivery to customers.

You will bring:

• Experience in synthetic chemistry
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of lab testing and instrumentation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and SAP platforms
• Safe work habits and ability to work effectively with others
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/related field or relevant work experience
