The House of Commons Finance Services are currently looking to staff the position of Senior Policy and Projects Officer (ADG-C)* AND to create a pool of qualified candidates for this position and for the Policy and Projects Officer position (ADG-D)*.

As part of this team, you will be a key player in the development of policies for Members and House Officers of the House of Commons. You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and developing assigned policies related to the allowances, entitlements and services provided to Members, House Officers and their employees. You will lead the development Apply of briefing notes and policy amendments for the Board of Internal Economy (BOIE) and will provide policy interpretation to clients and service providers across the organization on a broad range of policy issues. You will also manage major files and emerging issues of a complex cross-cutting or horizontal nature in addition to drafting and accurately reflecting the BOIE's decisions in the Members' Allowances and Services Manual.

Education:

• University degree from a recognized institution in public administration, political science, finance, commerce, business administration, or experience in a related field.

Experience:

• Exhaustive and recent experience in policy development, research, and analysis;
• Experience managing multiple projects and activities concurrently with tight deadlines.
• Experience preparing briefing notes, official correspondence, or reports;
• Experience in conducting consultation with key stakeholders (e.g., other service areas or branches and/or external stakeholders);
• Experience providing policy advice or interpretation to clients and senior management;

• ADG-C: $86,275 - $109,164
