The Role:


We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our passionate and collaborative team of high performers in Winnipeg.


Are you someone who thrives on providing an exceptional employee experience in a fast-paced, growing, tech start-up? In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all people related inquiries. You will also be overseeing the onboarding and off-boarding of our employees, and take ownership over managing and maintaining our HRIS system. If you are someone with a passion for people & systems, loves working in a collaborative team environment, and has a high attention to detail, this role is for you!


What you’ll be doing:


  • Support the People team with special projects, People reports & metrics, & change management initiatives
  • Overseeing the management of the company apartments including scheduling, confirming and communicating check-in details and ensuring supply inventory is filled accordingly
  • Support in the set up and planning of company events such as team huddles, demo days and Tech Thursdays
  • Provide a seamless onboarding experience for our new hires by ensuring that key items such as offer letters, background checks, benefits applications, new hire orientations have been successfully completed
  • Facilities related duties for our Winnipeg Office including ordering and distributing office supplies, coffee and snacks, Access card management and mail
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating data within our HRIS system and across other platforms & ensuring a high degree of accuracy. This includes updating our HRIS system with any changes to employee titles, compensation, reporting structures, terminations, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries in our People ticketing system and inbox including immigration, relocation, employment letters, benefits and general questions


Who we're looking for:


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing tech environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to quickly develop positive working relationships across all teams and functions
  • You demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency in day-to-day work
  • At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources as a coordinator or intern, or data administration
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
