The Learning Portal provides 24/7 virtual access to a wide variety of open learning resources, tools, and learning supports, available in both English and French, and accessible to all Ontario college students and faculty.
Reporting to the Manager, Student Learning Centre and Libraries and working under the general guidance of the Project Manager, Ontario Learning Portal, the incumbent supports the development of brand, marketing and communication assets for all Ontario Learning Portal services.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with stakeholders to direct and create dynamic and compelling multimedia content including motion graphics, signage, menus, web design, photography, social media graphics, presentations, and videos.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Designs and develops complex animations, motion graphics and animated videos;
• Photography for Learning Portal services;
• Participates actively in enhancing marketing programming development and projects for the Learning Portal team, when suitable.
• Support product/service photography and editing for The Ontario Learning Portal;
• Design work for all services for print and digital channels, including brochures/collateral, signage, social media, web graphics, and other digital assets;
• Coordination of photo/video shoots as needed for all services, ensuring content is relevant and engaging;

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Muse, Animator).
• Three (3) year diploma or degree or equivalent in Multimedia, Web Design, Graphic Design or Digital Arts. Business, Communication or Technical Writing education considered an asset;

Minimum Of Three (3) Years' Experience

• Knowledge of techniques, methods and practices relating to social media to provide creative services for assets to be used on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and other platforms;
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills;
• Experience in technical planning, design, development, testing and implementation of digital assets including a wide range of multimedia software (e.g. Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Muse, Animator);
• Knowledgeable about usability and accessibility for digital design, video production and web design and able to test design changes to meet standards in these fields;
• Knowledge of WCAG standards on accessibility to ensure technical compliance;
• Knowledge of typography, colour theory and design;
• Detail oriented, problem solver, resourceful, innovative, flexible & accessible;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional level of initiative, reliability and client service;
• Experience working with or in web environments utilizing similar skill sets, an asset;
