Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions starting September 6, 2023 and ending December 8, 2023.

The School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts is looking for qualified Part-time Professors to teach courses in the following programs:

• Organizational Management
• Hospitality Math
• HR Management and Employee Engagement

Qualifications

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Engages students in experiential education opportunities
• Contributes to and support the program’s and Fanshawe College’s continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and leading innovation
• Familiarity with educational technologies ( LMS ) are preferred
• Relates effectively to a wide variety of learners
• Capable to teach in-person on campus
• Works independently and collaboratively as part of an academic team
• College or university level teaching experience preferred
• Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
• Exceptional presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Collaborates effectively with faculty members on curriculum and uses educational technology – specifically our learning management software FanshaweOnline
• Demonstrates commitment to enhancing equity, inclusion, and diversity by creating a positive learning environment which accommodates students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles

Specific Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ diverse, recent, and relevant industry experience
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
• Has networking relationships with industry contacts
• Minimum post-secondary 2-year diploma studying Human Resources or Finance, with a specific focus on the Hospitality sector in Human Resources, Employee Engagement, or Finance/Accounting
