About The Opportunity…


As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible to maintain high profitability of the operation, while supervising and leading aspects of the systems. Specifically:


  • Work with the Service and Sales departments to maximize cross-marketing opportunities
  • Monitor current customer base and recommend strategies to attain more clients and ensure an optimal level of customer satisfaction
  • Review and improve operational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing departments and employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement
  • Order parts that meet the cost and quality standards of the automotive parts department, dealership, and vehicle manufacturers; source new suppliers that are cost-effective and have quality parts
  • Manage processing and administration of parts back-orders and return-to-vendor items
  • Manage inventory levels and inventory cycle counts; leverage the inventory control systems to record and track auto part sales and auto repair work
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for optimized sales
  • Monitor the flow of work in the parts department and intervene as required to ensure work is completed
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to help staff members strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
  • Prepare and manage the departmental budget
  • Establish department objectives and pursue them through planning, organizing, controlling, and measuring performance
  • Ensure the profitability of the parts operation; generate revenue through retail, internal, and wholesale sales of vehicle parts
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and key performance goals
  • Plan promotions on parts; design various merchandising strategies and monitor inventory of all physical parts and oversee all return processes for parts


About You…


Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience in vehicle sales and operational management, including:


  • Valid Driver's Licence in good standing
  • Proficiency in working with ERP systems (ie. CDK/Reynolds)
  • A proven commitment to quality of work
  • Proficiency in working with inventory systems
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Dealership Parts Manager
  • Ability to maintain professionalism
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
  • A desire to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • 3 years experience developing and managing the performance of a Team of staff
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
  • Self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
