Narrative Designer Jobs

Summary

Under the supervision of the Creative Director, the Narrative Designer will create the narrative structure, scenarios, character bios for the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement narrative content for the project
• Collaborate with the arts, design, and technical departments to breathe life into our worlds and stories
• Provide support to other departments for their writing, design, storytelling, or other game-related needs as required or requested
• Strive to improve pacing and narrative integration based on the gaming experience
• Engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams in the creation and implementation of scenarios
• Contribute to the development of tools and technologies to enhance the flow of the narrative

Qualifications

• Excellent creative writing abilities
• Experience with both linear and non-linear narrative structures
• Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience as a Narrative Designer or Writer in the game industry
• Genuine interest and passion for interactive storytelling
• Ability to adapt to change
• Solid understanding of storytelling, game design, and the game industry
• Proficiency with professional game design tools (e.g., Unreal, Unity, Constriction Kit)
• Exceptional skills in bringing interactive stories to life
• Professional experience in game development
• Experience in creating, designing, or directing game stories or other interactive storytelling experiences
• Strong multidisciplinary skills
