Cinematic Designer Jobs

Alpha Channel Inc. is seeking a skilled and innovative Cinematic Designer to contribute to the creation of captivating in-game cinematic experiences. As a Cinematic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting narrative-driven sequences, both interactive and non-interactive, that immerse players in our game world. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve setting up sequences, overseeing support cinematics, integrating interactive elements, and collaborating closely with programmers to ensure seamless execution.

Responsibilities:

• Strive for innovative approaches to storytelling within interactive cinematics, pushing the boundaries of cinematic design in games.
• Design and set up compelling cinematic sequences that enhance the game's narrative and player engagement.
• Collaborate effectively with programmers to implement interactive and non-interactive cinematic elements, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal performance.
• Develop and refine interactive sequences that enhance player agency and contribute to a more immersive gameplay experience.
• Take ownership of supporting cinematics, ensuring they align with the overall creative vision and story direction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cinematic design or a related field within the gaming or create arts industries.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey your cinematic design concepts and requirements.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual storytelling and pacing.
• Strong ability to collaborate with programmers, artists, and writers to achieve cohesive and impactful cinematic experiences.
• Proficiency in scripting and implementing interactive elements within game engines.

Nice to Have:

• Portfolio showcasing previous cinematic design work and interactive sequences.
• Experience in creating cinematics that seamlessly integrate with gameplay, enhancing the overall player experience.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine, leveraging its capabilities to enhance cinematic quality and interactivity.
• Understanding of game design principles, contributing to more engaging narrative experiences.
