Job Description


The Designer will assume responsibility for overseeing and implementing all elements of product concepts and design under the guidance of the Creative Director. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Designer will contribute to achieving business objectives and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for creating apparel designs that align with the brand's identity.
  • Conduct fabric research and curate an organized fabric and trims library.
  • Create product sketches in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Prepare, deliver, and contribute to seasonal category trend market presentations, capturing evolving market trends and new developments.
  • Conceptualize and design styles from initial ideas to proto counter sample.
  • Fulfill any additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to design development deadlines in alignment with the Go-To-Market Calendar
  • Responsible for trend market research and interpret how those trends will potentially grow the business.
  • Competitor research and market analysis
  • Manage the creation and organization of detailed tech packs.

Requirements:

  • Showcase exceptional organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency, as the role operates within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Fashion Design
  • Must have a strong understanding of trends, colour, print, fabric, fit, and garment construction.
  • Exhibit a solid grasp of fabrications for both woven’s and knit materials.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office is essential.
