Graphic Designer Volunteer Position

The Canadian Tamil Professionals Association (CTPA) is a non-profit and non-partisan volunteer

organization that supports career development for emerging and established

professionals in the Canadian-Tamil community. Through our vision to enrich Canadian

society by the advancement of our professionals, we aim to facilitate powerful

conversations, create opportunities, and inspire future leaders.

The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative design and typography. This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms.

Responsibilities

● Design visually compelling marketing collateral, templates, and visual assets to

support content on social media, website, email, and at professional workshops

● Create animations, videos, and illustrations that tell the story of the organization

and community to be shared on digital platforms

● Brainstorm new ideas for design and content creation for the team

● Manage other design needs such as presentations, sponsor signage, and event

promotions, as needed

● Build visual content from infographics to slideshares that complement campaigns and content offers

Qualifications

● Able to work independently and as part of a team

● Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign

● Experience in or knowledge of Canva considered an asset

● Highly creative and visual thinker

● Social and tech savviness

● Strong organization and time management skills
