Millwright - Pharmaceutical (Afternoons Or Nights)

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright plays a crucial role in providing expert mechanical, electrical, and PLC support for building services, manufacturing, and packaging operations. The incumbent is responsible for performing general repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities on cGMP process equipment, utility systems, and facilities, ensuring compliance with company SOPs and GMP requirements while minimizing disruption to production.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate components for equipment repair and collaborate with external services as required.
• Communicate maintenance activities with the team and maintain daily logs.
• Adhere to cGMP, safe work practices, and SOPs for equipment maintenance and repair.
• Able to work in a sterile environment on aseptic machines with sterile gown certification.
• Perform general repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on cGMP process equipment, utility systems, and facilities with minimal production disruption.
• Evaluate, set up, and operate packaging and manufacturing equipment; conduct breakdown and inspection tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools, multi-meter testers, and other equipment safely.
• Identify and address deficiencies in mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related equipment throughout the plant.
• Supervise contractor services and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Provide expert mechanical, electrical, and PLC support for building services, manufacturing, and packaging operations.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and assist in maintaining a parts database.
• Contribute to Lean Goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

• Strong team player with initiative and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working while wearing full protective gowning.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with high-speed filling, packaging lines, PLCs, and technical documentation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, manual dexterity, and work in confined spaces.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems preferred.
• Certified Millwright ticket received through an accredited apprenticeship program.

Shift - Straight Afternoons (3:00pm-11:00pm) or Straight Nights (11:00pm-7:00am)

Salary - $45.00/hour + Shift Premiums
