Job Overview

The Master Production Scheduler, Supervisor is responsible for creating fully optimized (attainable) production schedules to ensure plant/ production line performance targets are met to fully meeting customer needs, while optimizing capacity and efficiency, minimizing raw materials waste, managing work in process, and supporting finished goods inventory levels.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsibility for updating the sales forecast within the planning horizon in SAP for both make- to-stock and make- to -forecast Product families
• Conduct frequent analysis of inventory levels and product demands for make-to-stock items to
• Manage and support capacity planning module including start-up planning.
• Responsible for converting ALL Planned orders into Production Orders in SAP.
• Responsible to Communicate all Production planning issues and propose immediate action
• Directly Partner with Business Unit Managers to develop weekly & daily Production Schedules for all Lines, to ensure optimal sequencing of SKU’s that create optimization of Line efficiencies, minimization of changeover and/or un-anticipated downtime impact, and fully satisfy Customer requirements.
• Create and update weekly production schedules for line(s) assigned ensuring an optimal sequence that meets customer requirements, increase line efficiency and minimizes changeover time.
• Continuity.
• Determine appropriate replenishment levels and safety stock quantities.
• Act as key POC (point of communication) with all existing customers (and their relevant peer relationships) in regards to Production Forecast, Planning, Capacity and associated needs and requirements to support the master planning function. (*Mandatory attendance at Daily, Weekly, Emergency Communication formats; Conference calls, Zooms etc...)
• Own the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the plant ensuring that it reflects current forecast, customer orders, updated finished goods inventory and production work orders.
• And/or recommendations to prevent any supply disruption and to ensure overall Business
• Support or Lead specific Supply Chain projects, as directed/required.
• Perform short-term capacity planning/analysis to ensure demand and supply parameters are balanced across all lines.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior team members, including Scheduler.

• Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required.

• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting / handling procedures
• Report any damages of property and machinery to your Lead hand / Supervisor.
• Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to your Lead hand / Supervisor.

Job Requirements

• College Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Inventory Management
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Prior experience working in supply chain planning/scheduling.
• Exhibits strong communication skills and has ability to work as part of a team.
• APICS Qualifications – Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) or working
• Own safety shoes
• Towards certification.
• Extremely analytical and resourceful
• Previous experience working with an ERP system.
