Marketing Specialist I Jobs

Responsibilities

• Performs related work as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with internal partners in merchandising, e-commerce, advertising, retail operations and vendor partners to ensure that all print, web, and broadcast deadlines are met.
• Keeps leader informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and “team” approach.
• Permanent in store displays and shelf space
• When required, participate in customer calls to drive marketing strategy, gain knowledge to use in strategic and tactical planning, and support the field sales teams.
• In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, create, execute, and report on merchant specific marketing and promotional plans to meet both InComm Payments and merchant financial goals.
• Provide recommendations to the Account Management teams and to marketing management on appropriate direction for display and design execution to meet sales strategies, tactics, and goals.
• Establishes and sustains interactive relationships with external vendors to support the goals of the organization and to benchmark practices/results against competition.
• Promotional programs
• Disseminate competitive intelligence
• Gather and assimilate field and internal information.
• Marketing / Promotion contact for InComm Retail and Brand Partner teams.
• Primary instore retail display contact with internal teams and external supplier.
• Support business teams with promotional planning, in store fixtures and signage.
• When required, participate in sales account business planning meetings.
• Design and review artwork produced for digital or print media, including but not limited to proof reading, artwork design review and distributing to teams for approval and signoff.
• Manage marketing projects from concept through execution.
• Proactively contribute to a collaborative and supportive partnership within the Marketing team and with cross functional teams including Operations, Finance, Corporate Development, Compliance, Legal, etc.
• Work closely with InComm’s Retail and Brand Partner Management teams to jointly design, implement and execute marketing strategies and plans in support of shared goals.
• Monitor the on-going effectiveness of Marketing plans and track marketing programs.
• As required, develop presentations, sales aids, and promotional material
• Ensures that all advertising development processes run smoothly, and marketing programs are delivered on time.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact, collaborate and influence with senior levels in the organization.
• Strong project management and account management experience required.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal).
• Graphic Design skills is a strong asset.
• Exceptional project management abilities including managing budgets, deadlines, partners, and clients.
• Retail marketing, brand and/or consumer goods experience preferred.
• French Language skills would be an asset.
• Thorough knowledge of Marketing and Promotion production concepts, including print process, marketing media management, promotions, and segmentation.
• Creative writing skills is a strong asset.
• Strong team orientation: understand and promote interdepartmental approach to problem solving; understands the value of bridging communication gaps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field.
• Possess a strong work ethic and take pride in work quality
• Strong Microsoft Office expertise with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Adobe PDF, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign knowledge is an asset.
• Experience managing external vendors.
• 2+ years of experience in marketing and marketing project management, or position of similar responsibilities.
