We are looking for a talented Manager/Sr. Manager, Product Analytics to join our BI Team remotely from anywhere in Eastern US & Canada.
About the Role:
As Manager/Sr. Manager, Product Analytics, you will be centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. This will involve the planning of special projects and production of reports by performing meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses that address impactful business issues and how we best optimize our products and services! You will be collaborating with other department leaders daily, including C-levels, and stakeholders, to identify operational efficiencies and revenue opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled long-tenured data analyst and communicator, having recent experience as a Lead in an expansion-stage business. We are looking for someone who can spot opportunities and efficiencies that can be supported by data and has a grounded vision for implementation. This candidate should be able to switch from being head down in data to presenting actionable insights to a wide audience!
Responsibilities:
- Participates in team demo with primary responsibility of reviewing and accepting completed user stories
- Produce reports and dashboards that communicate a clear data story to end users with varying levels of data fluency
- Serve as key resource to development team to answer questions, provide clarifications, and conduct and coordinate business validation.
- Utilize Agile methodology & tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Own the BI tool, from user permissions to maintenance of scheduled reporting, as well as vetting other/new technologies that are critical to move the business forward
- Maintain updated knowledge of the evolving data warehouse
- Triage and prioritize incoming data requests and manage team output
- Close collaboration with business Stakeholders and department leaders
- Work closely with business to provide the best of breed solution to fulfill business outcomes, gather and translate requirements into clear stories • Author and maintain the team’s backlog of user stories and serve as a subject matter expert on features, user stories, and product capabilities.
- Independently identify areas of strategic direction, revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Communicate concise updates to the executive team about project process and key insights
- Source, manage, and transform data from multiple sources into the high-quality information that guides our business across multiple departments
Requirements:
- 5-7 years working as a cross-functional Product Analyst/ individual BI contributor
- Expert SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical skills and mindset able to produce documentation quickly
- Have a business first approach; you care about the business impact of your technical work outstanding communication skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce/CRM data is a plus
- Proficiency with reporting tools and proprietary tool language/syntax (preferably Looker; Tableau or Amazon QuickSight is a plus)
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
