Role Summary
Manager Business Development/ Government Sales will be accountable for seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential clients which will includeHealth Authorities/Provincial/Territorial/Federal Governments to advance CHL’s strategic objectives and reputation with clients and other stakeholders. Incumbents must be able to build relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation, as well as the client's advisor, if applicable. Incumbents must also be able to contribute to the development of proposals for our clients. Specifically, must have experience with Provincial Governments and Federal Government processes in ensuring qualification to bid for contracts and in relation to Request For Proposals (RFPs) and in preparing responses.
Reporting Structure
This role will report to the the Business Development and Government Relations Lead
Critical Accountabilities
- Developing key client relationships with Health Authorities and Governments
- Co-ordinating and contributing to the development of proposals including for Health Authorities and Governments
- Representing CHL at fundraising and community support events
- Working closely with the client service team to ensure client satisfaction and excellence of care
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Representing CHL services in a professional and creative manner to prospecting clients
- Maintaining accurate records on all prospective and active referral source
- Developing new accounts in the Canadian healthcare industry and support sales to Governments and Health Authorities including preparing responses to Requests For Proposals (RFPs)
- Sourcing leads and securing new business opportunities
Qualification & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organisation
- Strong time management skills with minimal need for oversight
- Demonstrated track record in respect of proposal development
- Strong government and public relations acumen, including deep knowledge of various levels of government
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work through challenging situations
- Results-oriented and client-focused with a commitment to excellence
- Excellent writing and editing skills; experience translating technical and sensitive or confidential information for various audiences
- University or College graduate in a related field with strong business development experience in Hospitals, Healthcare, senior living space
Note: This role is in a virtual team environment and the role holder will need to have open availability. Evening and Weekend availability may be required from time to time.
