Junior It Technician Jobs

Tecnor Business Solutions Inc. provides information technology and telecommunication network services to various commercial and industrial clients using advanced tools and technologies. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Junior IT Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, ensuring that their systems and networks are running smoothly, and taking ownership of IT-related issues. You will be a key member of our IT team and will play a critical role in supporting our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of new systems and applications, and provide training to clients as needed
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives
• Research, learn and understand new products and services
• Provide software, hardware and operation support to clients
• Provide excellent customer service and support, and maintain a positive attitude and demeanor.
• Assist with the maintenance and administration of our systems and networks, including performing updates, patches, and backups
• Install, configure and maintain workstations, servers and peripherals
• Write documentation for procedures and processes
• Install, configure and maintain software applications
• Participate in any other activities related to the IT department
• Break/fix technical support by responding to help desk requests, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and escalating issues as necessary
• Manage user accounts, including creating and deleting accounts, resetting passwords, and managing permissions
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
• Ensure that systems and networks are secure by implementing security best practices and monitoring for potential security threats
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and skills in computer hardware, software, and networking
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent at problem solving
• Ontario post-secondary diploma in technology or related field
• Knowledge of Windows Operating System & Networks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Available to work 40 hours per week
• Valid Ontario Drivers License (G2 or greater)
