The successful candidate will possess demonstrated IT experience working in similar and modern business environments with an aptitude and initiative to stay abreast of new technologies and platforms. General Role Description:


The IT Support Technician/External IT Analyst will work with cloud computing services in addition to on premise computer and network hardware and software applications. They will research, install, configure, document, operate, and maintain technology solutions and products for the internal business and external clients. The successful candidate will provide various levels of technical services to ensure the company’s IT Operations are maintained and remain operational in various conditions while maintaining a high level of customer service to internal and external users.


General Duties/Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):


  • Proactively monitor, configure, maintain, and ensure IT-related systems comply with the Company’s security and privacy policies and standards.
  • Provide orientation, guidance, assistance, and support to users on using IT equipment, applications, and services.
  • Perform and monitor backup and recovery operations for data and systems and participate in related business continuity tasks and activities.
  • Document and maintain the configuration and setup of IT applications, systems, networks, and cloud applications.
  • Maintain and assist with managing various IT infrastructure, hardware, peripheral devices, applications, and system components.
  • Test, install and configure computing hardware, peripheral devices, and software components.
  • Collaborate, liaise, and communicate with various internal and external groups (Ex: consultants, vendors).
  • Troubleshoot and research IT-related problems to drive resolution.
  • Engage in regular team meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct on-site and off-site service calls and provide technical training as required.
  • Contribute and assist with periodically sharing current technical information, knowledge, and tips with users, clients, and colleagues through various internal communication channels.
  • Participate in IT infrastructure and platform upgrades and special projects as needed.
  • Self-monitor, manage and respond to support tickets to ensure the proper escalation and resolution of tickets and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of security systems (is an asset).
  • Assist with developing and reviewing IT documentation, procedures, and guidelines and promote security. practices to internal and external users.
  • Provide comprehensive IT support services to the organization for cloud and on-premises computing platforms.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate hardware repairs, software, and configuration support with vendors.


Skills, Education and Experience:


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft applications and platforms (Office 365, Windows MS 365)
  • Education related to computer technologies, networking, or information security.
  • A demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and progress.
  • Help Desk and IT support experience would be considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and in a team.
  • Diploma in Computer, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • CompTIA ITF+/A+/Network+, Microsoft 365 or equivalent Certification(s) would be an advantage.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside the organization.
  • Good knowledge of and preferably working experience with LAN, WAN, Wireless networks and network security devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English language.
  • Proven ability to proactively and quickly learn new technologies.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing Platforms (Microsoft 365, Google, AWS) is considered an asset.
  • G Driver License, and own vehicle preferred.
  • Proficient in typing, minimum 60/wpm with high accuracy level is critical to this position.


The ideal candidate would demonstrate technical knowledge, progressive learning, strong problem solving and communication skills, with a strong aptitude for advancement.


Mandatory Requirements:


New Age Group is a well-recognized company in the security industry and to protect the safety of our customers, the successful candidate will be required to provide a clean Criminal Background Check for the past 5 years from Canada upon hiring. Given the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be flexible and available to work after business hours and on weekends when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent and 100% onsite


Schedule:


  • Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour shift


Ability to commute/relocate:


  • Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


Salary: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
