POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to: Director, Strategic Initiatives and Integration
Navacord is searching for an ambitious and detail-oriented Jr. Project Manager to support our Merger & Acquisitions Integrations team. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to assist in the due diligence process for prospective partners and coordinate the integration efforts of existing and acquired brokerages. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless integration and delivering value to Navacord. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our growth ambitions and gain valuable experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide guidance and support to individual workstreams in developing their project plans as needed.
- Contribute to the development of integration best practices, techniques, and artifacts for future use.
- Represent Navacord as a visible team member when working with current and prospective partners, ensuring clear communication and demonstrating our culture and values positively.
- Leverage organizational data to drive improved business results and inform decision-making.
- Establish and monitor critical success measures for each project and prepare executive summaries to assess the achieved objectives and value.
- Take ownership of issue and risk management for each project, including identification, tracking, and resolution of risks and issues.
- Assist the acquisition team throughout the mergers and acquisitions process, including due diligence, financial modeling, and building integration project plans.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans across functions such as IT, accounting, HR, marketing/sales, and operations, ensuring clear understanding of interdependencies.
- Guide project governance and manage stakeholder priorities and alignment, including executives, business leaders, and head office roles.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute the integration plan and ensure successful project completion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PMP designation preferred.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and executive presence.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operational integration of mergers & acquisitions is strongly preferred.
- Solid business project management, conflict resolution and people management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and has a proven background of leading through influence.
- High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information.
- P&C and/or Group Benefits insurance experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to support due diligence.
