Job Description
Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital are actively seeking applicants for an Integrated staffing Assistant position. "Integrated" means that the successful incumbent will work at both hospital sites.


The Staffing Assistant is responsible for performing staff scheduling and payroll preparation for assigned service


(Nursing, Support Services, etc.).


Key Responsibilities


  • Prioritize assigned tasks and completes within specified times
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Screen, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Schedule staff to meet department human resource needs, consistent with collective agreements, policies, procedures and/or required legislation, and in consultation with area Leader(s).
  • Promptly report errors/events or situations of actual or potential event or harm
  • Check and dispatch outgoing correspondence.
  • Prepare computerized time entries for team members for processing by Payroll. Download and review data to ensure accurate reporting and compensation
  • May be required to perform other related duties.
  • Maintain records for team members, including vacation entitlement and leave records.
  • Assist in care and maintenance of equipment.
  • In collaboration with the department leader, arrange unit orientation as required.
  • Answer the telephone and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain current telephone numbers for team members and list of shift availability.


Qualifications


  • One year of experience in hospital staffing and scheduling experience required.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including strong skills in Excel is required. Prior experience utilizing various database and scheduling programs is preferable.
  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or equivalent program preferred.

The Role


As a Facilitator at CLBC, you will represent CLBC as the primary contact for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This includes


  • Assist the individual and their family in identifying the activities and resources required to reach their goals, by supporting the individual to explore their capacity and enhance their ability to make informed decisions
  • Confirming eligibility for CLBC funded services
  • Responding to crisis situations and resolving problems
  • Supporting and facilitating access to generic services, informal support and CLBC funded services and allocation of small targeted amounts of funding
  • Assist individuals and families to connect to their community to build on the strengths and assets of the individual
  • Creating and implementing individual support plans, which include informal and formal safeguards
  • Coordinating services


Qualifications


  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor of Social Work or an equivalent degree
  • Experience working in the Community Living field with children, youth or adults with developmental disabilities and their families
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education/experience may be considered


Possession of a class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract are required. Use of own vehicle on expenses.


Hybrid work Combines on-site office work with the flexibility to work from home within BC after passing a 6 month probationary period.

Status/Term: Auxiliary. Anticipated 56 hours bi-weekly to November 30, 2023


Classification/Salary: Social Program Officer (Growth to R24) / Position starts at $32.46 to $36.44 hourly
