Inside Sales Engineer (Fresh Grad Electrical Engineers)

Must be able to relocate to Greater Toronto Area if outside of the province.
Our Client, headquartered in Mississauga, ON, is a market leader for electrical safety products. In addition to a solid lineup of ground fault relays, isolation monitors, ground fault location systems, resistance grounding systems, and isolation power systems, our client manufactures integrated solutions for a variety of industries.
They are committed to electrical safety and since 1946, have provided customers with the products and application support they need to protect both electrical equipment and the personnel that use them from harm. The client works with standard associations (NFPA, IEEE, IEC, NEC, CEC, GOST, CCC, and more) to improve the safety levels everywhere and have the most complete range of products for electrical safety – covering all regions and standards around the globe.
Role Description
We are looking for Inside Sales Engineers to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidates will be going through various training stages initially. This is a hybrid role and besides the first few months that will include intensive on-site training in Mississauga, ON and potentially abroad, the role will be mostly remote).
The key responsibilities of the Inside Sales Engineer include the following:
- Conducting product demonstrations and delivering compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Assisting in the preparation of sales proposals and ensuring technical accuracy.
- Collaborating with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
- Providing post-sales support and building long-term relationships with customers.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improving product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Strong willingness to learn
- Familiarity with electrical components, equipment, and networks
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Relevant certifications and qualifications
- Experience with electrical design, development, and testing
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- Master's, Bachelor's or college degree in electrical engineering
Logistics
- Valid driver's license
- Eligibility to work in Canada without restrictions
- Canadian passport holder (huge plus as training may include overseas travel)
Preferred (but not required)
- Knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical equipment specifications, testing and commissioning
- Knowledge of the NFPA, IEEE, IEC, NEC, CEC, GOST, CCC codes and standards
- Eligibility for EIT registration with EGBC
- Knowledge of ETAP, PSSE, SKM Power Tools, CYME, DSA Tools, WinIGS, or other software packages
- Knowledge of MATLAB and Python
- Knowledge of generation, transmission and distribution of power systems
- Academic knowledge of ground fault relays, isolation monitors, ground fault location systems, resistance grounding systems, and isolation power systems
