Hydra Energy is growing! We are a small, dynamic team passionate about clean energy looking to add a full-time Hydrogen Project Coordinator to help grow our hydrogen supply capacity through new partnerships. As a start-up we’re hoping to find the right person with 1-2 years professional experience and a proactive approach to helping identify, analyse, develop and further establish partnerships with hydrogen suppliers across Canada and internationally.
Reporting to the Vice-president, Partnerships, you’ll be assisting in expanding Hydra’s hydrogen supply partnerships, your days will include conducting economic analysis and modelling to establish the best possible locations, partners, carbon intensities and price scenarios to grow Hydra’s hydrogen supply.
About you:
You have a background that includes clean energy production. You could put together a business case for various scenarios around hydrogen production and off-takes and you are able to identify relevant policy incentives. While you have experience, you are also eager to learn, adapt to a constantly changing environment. Being able to work independently and proactively is key. As a start-up, things don’t always look the same day-to-day, so being a creative thinker and problem solver is necessary.
You will conduct market analysis to identify prospects, support the VP or other team members in initiating contact with prospects and following up, run the economics to analyse potential partnership agreements, and maintain Hydra’s CRM pipeline on hydrogen suppliers .
You are well versed on life cycle analysis and economic modelling. This will help you determine how the various partnership opportunities play in an integrated scenario matching the needs of Hydra’s fleet customers and also complying with and taking advantage of the policy environment in Canada and internationally.
To excel in this role, you are a great communicator who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment and has excellent follow through. This role will require you to be in our office located on Annacis Island at least two days per week, so someone local to the Greater Vancouver Area would be ideal.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining effective relationships with hydrogen supply partners via email, phone, and in-person including setting up meetings for them with relevant team members as needed.
- Collaborating with other members of the business team working with fleet customers
- Conducting economic modelling and integrating relevant policy incentives and life cycle analysis
- Writing and distributing agendas, proposals, cost analysis, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
- Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities.
- Creating and maintaining hydrogen supply information in Hydra’s CRM.
- Collaborating with the technical team to ensure partnership opportunities technically align with Hydra’s technology and fleet customers needs
- Creating, supporting and implementing partnership strategies and identifying new regions to establish hydrogen supply-demand hubs
- Collaborating with our legal team to prepare MOUs and definitive agreements.
- Tracking partnerships opportunities and providing feedback to management.
- In coordination with Communications & Events Manager, arrange partner events and conferences and assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective partners.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of professional experience, ideally some in energy production
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, economics, business, or related field.
- Bonus Points if you have experience working in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management system)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
