CFUV is hiring a Project Coordinator for ‘Queer Histories & Futures’: an independent & collaborative project that will facilitate intergenerational queer mentorship and knowledge transfer opportunities. The project coordinator will produce podcast episodes centering queer seniors and stories from an intergenerational podcasting team, create original LGBTQ2SA+-focused broadcast content and provide seniors with chances to learn digital literacy in broadcasting. Prior project coordination experience is not necessary - this position is an experiential-learning opportunity.
- Provide basic training and tools for LGBTQ2SA+ community members and volunteers to share their own stories
- Coordinate community members and volunteers in media literacy
- Produce podcast content for and by LGBTQ2SA+ voices
- Produce LGBTQ2SA+ content for CFUV 101.9 FM’s broadcast
- Facilitate and coordinate intergenerational broadcast activities
- Ability to work and make decisions independently and in collaboration with others
- Interest in learning and building media production skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
Working Period: Flexible start-date (first two weeks of September) until December 15, 2023
Remuneration: $18.00 hourly/ 35 hours per week
