The Human Resources Specialist plays a critical role in supporting overall HR initiatives including recruitment, employee relations, training, and projects. The successful individual will be focused on ensuring we are providing professional services to our clients.

Job Duties

• Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
• Wide range of HR projects and training
• Work with hiring managers to identify job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills and conduct regular follow-ups to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
• Create job descriptions and post job advertisements.
• Contact applicants to inform them of the status of their employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
• Employee Relations client support
• Maintain up to date with Human Rights and Employment Standards legislation.
• Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
• Provide Recruitment Support, review and evaluate applications received on the recruiting database and pre-screen all qualified candidates.
• Conduct reference and background checks on applicants.

Requirements

• CPHR designation is considered an asset.
• Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Innovative thinker
• Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience.
• Detail oriented.
• High degree of professionalism.
• Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or other appropriate field preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
