Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an HR Coordinator/Generalist to join our growing HR team in Mississauga, ON.
Under the general direction of the Senior People Business Partner, this position will provide a wide range of duties and responsibilities supporting the HR function for Lycopodium Minerals Canada Ltd. (Company). The general duties of this position shall consist of administrative support and assistance in HR policies, analytics, recruitment, and other related HR programs and initiatives.
In this role you will support the Sr. People Business Partner on a variety of administrative components such as HR policies, projects, employment changes, and organizational initiatives. This opportunity Is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced work environment, sees challenges as opportunities, believes in the value of continuous improvement and is looking to develop themselves through a variety of HR experiences.
We are seeking a new team member who has expert analytical and reporting skills and is comfortable managing a wide range of administrative tasks and meeting deadlines.
In addition, you will also:
  • Assist in the end-to-end delivery of professional HR services
  • Work collaboratively with employees across all business units.
  • Actively build a strong employer brand and ensure a positive candidate experience.
The tasks you'll perform
  • Cooperatively work with the People Group globally to prepare, revise, update and/or create Position Descriptions as required.
  • Assist with talent acquisition and various recruitment needs (including internal and external job postings/advertisements, scheduling of interviews, references, letters to applicants, etc).
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Human Resource Information System and record management by ensuring employee records are current for payroll.
  • Manage the off-boarding process to ensure compliance including but not limited to; exit interviews, collecting Company property, etc.
  • Assist with the administration of the Employee Benefits Program.
  • Organize and manage the new starter experience (end-to-end) including but not limited to; contracts administration, on-boarding documentation, compliance, and inductions.
  • Adhere to the Company’s HR policies and procedures to provide a diligent and professional service.
  • Assist with collating data, statistics and documentation for business development, management and reporting purposes.
  • Assist with the immigration process to ensure compliance within the relevant jurisdictions for international placements and assignments.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3+ years’ experience in an administrative role within related industries.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.

  • Solid procedural aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.

  • Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback provided by subject matter experts.
  • University degree in Human Resources or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution
