As ATB's next Events and Programs Manager, you will be championing the event experiences for clients and team members. The Events and Programs Manager is a hybrid thinker who possesses traits of a business development manager, content marketer and an event planner. You are a self-starter and someone who has a proven track record of negotiating impact-focused partnerships, you take a pragmatic approach to securing speaking and sponsorship opportunities for ATB and have turned events into unforgettable experiences. When supporting our external events, you are keeping line of sight to deepening our relationships with clients, supporting team members who are activating the events, and raising ATB's profile in key sectors. Event And Programs Manager Accountabilities
  • Coordinate and monitor event timelines
  • Manage third party vendor negotiation
  • Create a system for ATB Business Events tracking in the interim of other technology solutions
  • Support, lead and execute our capital markets industry conference and client events throughout our markets and managing internal team member events.
  • Ensure our coverage commitments are done in a timely manner, and work cohesively with ATB's Sponsorship & Community Initiatives team
  • Assist with large in-person and/or online conference planning,
  • Schedule marketing emails for events and training courses
  • Produce and coordinate information required for external client events and internal team member events and activities
  • Collaborate and partner with various internal partners including (not limited to) our Enterprise marketing, Reputation & Brand and Sponsorship & Community Initiatives team
  • Communicate with and present to business executives and c-suite clients; produce post-event reports; measure KPIs and create benchmarks for client satisfaction, aided/unaided awareness, consideration across events;
  • Setup registration requirements for events and respond to inquiries
  • Work with events staff to track and fulfill deliverables for event sponsors and exhibitors
  • Coordinate catering, audio-visual, and other special technical programming requests.
  • Update event websites and provide new content as needed
  • Add content and maintain virtual event platforms
  • Provide on-site event support, including badge printing, coordination of signage, and registration


Event Planning and Execution


  • Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with event partners, contractors, and producers
  • Post-event reporting, measurement of KPIs and establishing benchmarks for client experience, brand awareness and consideration


Partnership and Sponsorship Management


  • Develop strategic marketing partnerships with key industry associations, consultants, and event organizers
  • Continue to uphold ATB's best practices in sponsorship and partnership management
  • Maintain a calendar of events and manage our partnership budget - managing through partnerships
  • Assess industry sponsorship opportunities and work with our Sponsorship & Community Initiatives team members to evaluate opportunities and ensure we are maximizing the value and impact from our sponsorships.


Requirements


  • Excellent Communications (written and verbal)
  • A Bachelor's degree in the field of events, marketing or communications or equivalent experience in a comparable role
  • Technology awareness - ability to work with various databases and systems such as Salesforce
  • Ability to self-start and work independently
  • Ability to quickly comprehend requirements and prioritize
  • Digital marketing and virtual events platforms (web on demand)
  • Proficient with GSuite
  • Experience with negotiating and developing contracts and invoicing
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan and execute large scale events with numerous stakeholders, on time and on budget
