Job Description

Nanton, AB, Position to be from July 10, 2023, to September 2, 2023


This position is for 35 hours per week for 8 weeks, ending on September 2, 2023.The candidate must be able to work on location in Nanton, AB.This position may include weekend coverage.


Rate - $16.00/hr


Under the Summer Job Grant the candidate must be between the ages of 15 - 30.

:

  • Assist in developing and recruiting for ongoing programs for and by persons with a disability, aboriginal, youth , and environmental sustainability
  • Promote euroRADIO through participation in community events and being on-location for events
  • Activities of this position may be significantly or entirely shifted from events in the community to online and social media promotional activities
  • Promote euroRADIO through the development and execution of Social Media campaigns.
  • Assist with the video filming/production of community events and music sessions
  • Other duties as directed by the Station Manager
  • Work with the Station Manager to organize coverage of local community events
  • To research, develop and produce self-sustaining special events programming related to significant social issues (For example Aboriginal Heritage Day, Pride Week, and Youth -focused programming)
  • To encourage traditionally marginalized people (such as Indigenous peoples, peoples with disabilities, queer, street youth , etc.) to participate and volunteer at euroRADIO including producing programming

  • Must have a great attitude and be an ambassador for the radio station, promoting the music, events, and community
  • Must be self-motivated, able to follow instructions, and detail-oriented

The Nanton Community Broadcasting Association is a non-profit, community-focused, online radio station. We focus exclusively on Nanton and area events, businesses, and talent, and play a large variety of music 24 hours a day. Our mandate is to be positive, supportive, and fun! We take all funds from fundraising and advertising and put it back into the community to support music, arts, and culture.
