Engineering Manager – Manufacturing & Construction

Our industry leading client is a North American manufacturer and distributor of equipment, and products that service the residential, commercial, and mechanical sectors. We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager who possesses a strong commitment to team building, continuous improvements, and has a drive to develop external relationships with both customers and supplier partners.

Responsibility:

• Provide assistance in resolving identified issues to prevent or mitigate loss of schedule and budget.
• Direct the work of a team of Engineers (coordinating schedules, work flow, etc.).
• Attend site inspections and investigations.
• Create conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.
• Strategically evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials.
• Partner with Designers, Estimators, and Project Managers.
• Provide job updates and status reports to management.
• Lead structural engineering development on residential and commercial projects.
• Interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
• 5+ years leading an Engineering Team and Department.
• 5+ years leading Project Management.
• Solid understanding of the civil design codes and standards.
• Natural ability in technical sales and negotiating.
• Experience preparing technical reports.
• Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate accurate technical drawings.
