Electrical/Mechanical Designer Jobs

General Information:

Looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our experienced engineering team supporting the transformer repair and service in Canada. You will be performing transformer electrical and mechanical design and helping the manufacturing process in the shop. In this position you will be in Stoney Creek, ON and will be reporting to engineering manager.

Responsibilities:

• Provide drawing binders and technical support to shop and participate in transformer inspections.
• Work closely with purchasing for material parts planning and purchase.
• Develop detailed material / parts list for transformer projects (cleats & leads, controls, and accessories).
• Inspect transformers in the shop and prepare reports.
• Review customer specifications and complete transformer electrical design.
• Provide technical support to Hitachi service team.
• Prepare drawings for transformer components manufacturing (windings, cleats and leads, ... etc).

Qualification:

• 5+ years of related Transformer design experience
• Transformer factory or transformer service experience
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical design (CAD)
• Proficient with computer and software-MS Office
• Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills
