What You Bring
College/University degree or background in Electrical Engineering
Experience with Solidworks Electrical
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Controls Technician in an industrial/ engineering/ automation environment
Strong ability to develop electrical designs of complex automated systems from basic concepts using engineering principles
Knowledge of electrical systems including 120V - 600V
VAC 3-phase, controls, I/O systems, servo control, safety circuits and pneumatics
Familiarity with modular cabling technologies, cable tray systems and electrical installations
Electrical wiring experience and familiarity with mechanical systems
Knowledge of basic robotic operations, including mechanical, electrical and software interfacing
Knowledge of sound engineering practices and electrical codes with a commitment to adhering to all standards and best practices
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-function team
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in diverse working environment
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Able to work under tight deadlines
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Self-starter with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of UL508A and NFPA
Overview
Programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting experience with Rockwell software products - RS Logix 5000, FT View, and others (MUST HAVE)
Create electrical drawing and panel layouts in accordance with customer requirements and external (CSA, ESA, OSHA, NFPA, and UL 508A)
Complete PFMEA, FEMA, Safety FEMA (Nice To have)
Research and comply with customer specifications in URS documentation (MUST HAVE)
Update all drawings once project has been completed with all changes and updates as needed in the assembly process (Nice To have)
