Mechanical Designer Jobs

International Truck Body is an industry leading truck body builder. We specialize in the manufacture of Dry Freight, Refrigerated, and Custom truck body applications. This opportunity is a full-time position at our Winnipeg, MB facility.

In this role you will be responsible for:
-The design of truck bodies and other products and coordinating their introduction to manufacturing.
-Creation of associated 3D models and submittal drawings for customer approval.
-Analysis of the design concepts to ensure product durability, public safety, and cost.
-Coordinate the release to the manufacturing process including drawings of components, assemblies, and bills of material.
-Identify and implement cost reduction and design for manufacturing improvements.
-Support the manufacturing team with the design of assembly fixtures and other assembly aids.
-Manage the model and drawing data bases, part numbers and bills of materials.

To be successful in this role you will need:
- Three to five years of product design experience within a product manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Enthusiasm for mechanical design and manufacturing
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and MS Office.
- Mechanically inclined and methodical.
- Team oriented, creative and self-starter.
- Hands-on problem-solving tendency.
- Ability to multitask and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (in English).
- Be customer, cost and results focused.
