Electrical Designer/ Electrician Jobs

Total Control Solutions Group Inc. (TCSG) provides complete and cost-effective maintenance and technical support services to a wide variety of industries in Western Canada including Oil and Gas, Mining, Pulp and Paper, Power, Manufacturing, Food Processing as well as Water and Wastewater Treatment. Our areas of expertise include Automation and Controls, Instrumentation and Electrical.

We have a need for an Intermediate-Senior Electrical Designer who can join our team full-time and add value to our current client base at our main office in Airdrie Ab. We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages.

Specific Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·Perform design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, drawings, and diagrams related to the project requirements

·Develop and draft PLC/DCS panels, JB drawings, Loop drawings, Control architecture drawings, Instrument layouts, etc

·Reviewing third-party drawings such as civil, architectural, landscape, and utilities for conflicts and information as required by the project

·Perform technical reviews and corrections of drawing packages for a variety of projects

·Ensure final designs comply with clients and/or company quality standards

·Provide troubleshooting and commissioning support where required

·Front line supervisory role leading up to and during project deployment

·Assist the field services team when required with a variety of electrical tasks (control panel installation, cable tray installation, cable pulling etc.)

·Assembling, wiring and testing on a variety of industrial control panels

Qualifications

·Journeyman/Master electrician

Or

·Technical school certification with relevant field experience

·Min. 3 years of supervisory experience

·Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities & tasks.

·Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members both internal and external in a multi-discipline environment.

·Must be proficient in the use AutoCAD & Bluebeam Revu.

·Working knowledge of MS office suite

·Working knowledge on a variety of PLC’s and DCS equipment

·Experience in VFD and motor control setup and commissioning

·Electrical and controls commissioning and troubleshooting experience
