Electrical Engineer Jobs

The role of Electrical Engineer is tasked with supporting the Software and Control teams of developers and electrical technicians to perform a variety of electrical engineering tasks, complete electrical and software projects, and the design and programming for all of TYCROP and customer’s equipment.

• To coordinate with other members in the design and development quadrant and ensure the integrated technology contribution to a project is in alignment with the entire team’s objectives
• Responsible for sourcing components and generating BOMs (Bill of Materials) for assemblies
• To provide high-value solutions to a variety of technical challenges
• Research, source and acquire OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components;
• To work as part of the team to conceptualize and create new and innovative systems for new products
• Assemble, test and troubleshoot PCBA & electrical subsystems;
• Perform new design work and the detailing/completion of designs created by others;
• To create engineering documentation to support the systems – including electrical and fabrication drawings, control specifications, instrument diagrams, system safety and operation analysis.
• Interact with fabricators and suppliers of electrical parts to ensure quality and accuracy;
• Transform conceptual designs into detailed schematics, PCB layouts, fabrication and assembly drawings;
• Provide technical material for inclusion in product manuals and operation guides
• Provide technical information and consultation on all aspects of the business – not entirely machine controls
• To design, specify, program and maintain machine control systems for TYCROP and associated brand’s equipment
• Perform electrical design and prototype assembly of the company’s products, including the production of supporting documentation for fabrication and assembly.

Specific Skills and Qualifications:

• Electrical Schematic Creation (WSCAD/EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical/Other)
• Familiar with CEC/NEC Electrical Standards
• Familiar with CEC/NEC Electrical Standards
• Electrical Schematic Creation (WSCAD/EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical/Other)
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta or immediately eligible for registration
• Control system electrical design (PLC,HMI, microcontrollers, Control Panels, etc.)
• 3-5 years electrical and controls engineering experience in an applicable field
