E&I Frontline Supervisor

Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for an E&I Frontline Supervisor to work in Lloydminster on a 1-year contract.

Responsibilities:

• Lead team reviews and joint acceptance of Contractor project documentation (JSA, ERP, Execution Plans, ITP's, etc.)
• Participate in project execution planning (design reviews, model review, CWP development, etc), when required Post Award
• Work on Pre Mobilization Work and Pre-Bid including participating in bid document assembly and contractor bid reviews.

Execution:

• Identification of higher risk work or changes in scope requiring risk assessments and ensuring it is executed. Cenovus Risk Matrix to be used as a guide.
• Must communicate to the contractors any existing or potential site hazards that may affect the contractors' workers. Existing or potential hazards must also be included in Safe Work Agreements issued to the Contractor
• Provide documented verification against contractor project documentation for compliance. Document and communicate variances/risks/mitigations.
• Participate in contractor completion activities (walk downs, deficiency completion, demobilization)

Post Execution:

• Participate in quality-related activities (ITP reviews, turnover package verifications, quality audits, and walk-downs)
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules
• Maintain daily journal/log, recording key conversations & information.
• Review and recommend resolution for technical and contractual issues Accurately identify and communicate risk (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) management
• Coordinate work with required CVE stakeholders (Example: Operations, Drilling, Completions, Regulatory, etc.)
• Participate in contractor closeouts and lessons-learned meetings. Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, principles, and procedures. Experience in installing High voltage switch gear, control systems, VFDs & DCS in Greenfield & Brownfield Environments
• Identification and participation project risk assessments - Participation in Mentorship (Mentee / Mentor) & Competency Program
• Active participation in the toolbox, coordination, and communication meetings
• Review, participation, and implementation of Cenovus Safety Initiatives
• Understand contractor/vendor schedule, and its role in project schedules
• Provide daily progress/risk / look ahead reporting
• Wear required PPE -
• Actively participate in field hazard assessments
• Review and acceptance of contractor/vendor reporting, verifying the accuracy of actuals + forecast including identification of variances and contractor mitigations in daily reporting Ongoing Contractor and Construction Work Package risk identification and resolution recommendations
• When required, work with Contractors and members to develop and accept schedule recovery plans Review and acceptance of contractor/vendor LEMs (verification of hours, people & equipment - not rates)
• Participate in contractor progress verifications, communicate findings and risks

Qualifications/Certifications:

• Experience as an electrical or instrumentation field coordinator
• Red seal Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation OR Diploma in electrical or instrumentation technology
• PMP or other formal project administration training would be considered an asset.
