The Role


Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Financial Services Consult Industry Partner to help drive exceptional customer IT outcomes, guide clients in digitally transforming their business, reduce risk, deliver operational excellence, continuously measure, and achieve their digital transformation value. Leveraging Kyndryl’s mission critical global strength and the leading technology capabilities of our Global Practices (Cloud, Mainframe, Networking and Edge, Data & Application, Security & Resilience and Digital Workplace).


Experienced Consult Partner are part of the high growth Consult business and participate and lead multi-disciplinary teams on complex consulting engagements and are accountable for creating and positioning value on Kyndryl’s largest accounts and opportunities. As a Consult Partner, you will have opportunities to lead small teams of practitioners on multiple projects, developing leadership skills and advancing your career in one of the fastest growing IT consulting businesses globally.


As an experienced Consult Partner, you are extremely knowledgeable in multiple Business-of-Modern IT and Business-impacting-Modern IT specializations including but not limited to:


Modern IT Strategy and Operations Digital Transformations & Change Management (CX, Cloud, Omni, Platform, IT Modernization) IT Value realization (Technical & Financial) IT Operating Models (Nextgen IT Op Models, Cloud-Platform based Target-op-Model, Agile, DevSecOps, SRE, Product-based-Op Model, etc.) IT Process & Service Management Environmental & Sustainable Strategy Portfolio, Program & Project Management IT Modernization Patterns (Infrastructure, Network, Application, Data, Cyber, Workplace Experience, Digital Design Authority & Enterprise Architecture, etc.) IT Regulatory, Resilience & Stability


Individual(s) must possess “Strategic IT” coupled with “industry relevance.” Knowledge of industry specific IT/Digital trends that are driving business growth and efficiencies to above mentioned Strategic IT specialization topics. They apply industry expertise in broad IT consulting engagements with techniques and cognitive approach to analyze issues and client context, build successful digital transformation roadmaps, create and implement innovative solutions. They possess strong communication skills, C-level gravitas, are able to articulate the impact and business benefits of their solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations at multiple working levels. They will also assemble and lead the best Kyndryl competencies and capabilities, to support the engagement and drive a wining proposition.


Responsibilities and related competencies are focused on the following key domains:


Consulting Subject Matter Expertise Domain:


  • Demonstrates ability to adapt and grow expertise into newly emerging topics.
  • Knowledgeable on one or more industries mentioned above with deep Business-to-ModernIT trends and transformation background.
  • Proven track record in IT Consulting or IT Management Consulting with regional or global consulting firm with delivery and business development success and growth
  • Builds cross-unit notoriety as a subject-matter expert, has demonstrated subject-matter expertise externally with clients and/or through publications, speaking events, industry forums, blogs on the above specialization.
  • Has experience (and/or willingness) to increase Kyndryl’s intellectual property assets by expanding existing Consult offerings, developing new offers when needed.
  • Recognized externally & internally as a Consult leader on multiple specialization areas provided above. Ability to create, position and deliver Modern IT Strategies, OpModels, Complex Digital Transformations and Business/Financial value realization engagements and roadmaps.


Consulting Business Development Domain:


  • Has participated in sales cycles across multiple offering solutions and has been exposed to a diverse set of client proposals.
  • Leads or has participated in complex sales efforts, seeks appropriate assistance as required, and has positive impact on sales closure.
  • Able to drive smaller sales efforts, to close after initial identification with minimal oversight and support.
  • Demonstrates success in creating, developing and closing pipeline to achieve signings targets of 5-10M annually on specific accounts, sectors or geography.
  • Has been exposed to sales involving global resourcing components.


Consulting People & Team Leadership Domain:


  • Behaves in a Player/Coach model to act as coach or mentor to fellow team members, as well as carry individual targets.
  • Effectively collaborates across Consult service areas, functions or entities while inspiring a positive employee experience and enhanced climate.
  • Directly responsible for helping to build and manage a specific Consult service area, including hiring and development of staff.
  • Drive team and personal billable and chargeable utilization as required by the business.

  • Communication: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate the insights from findings to relevant stakeholders. Able to manage communication at working levels and also C-level gravitas. Able to drive and participate in workshops, clearly outlining outcomes and creating/presenting materials and deliverables.
  • Leadership: Demonstrates a self-starter mindset and with client and Kyndryl outcomes top of mind. Ability to mentor and mentee, create an environment and workplace of choice for peers and team members, be the role model of professional excellence.
  • Productivity skills: Exceptional and advanced PowerPoint, Word & Excel skills to help convey messages and deliverables through modern consulting techniques. Ability to “roll up sleeve” and create/provide content for proposals, SOW and deliverables. Ensure client and deliverable deadlines, consult management system compliance. Takes pride in creating polished work products.


Who You Are


The Consult Partner role requires 10-15 years’ experience in:


  • Establishing and sustaining mid-level or higher client relationships
  • Solutioning IT technology consulting and project engagements including leading SOW writing and pricing
  • Selling and solutioning IT consulting and project engagements
  • Leading the delivery of consulting and project engagements
  • Consulting industry and skills aligned to the above specialization
  • Player / Coach - largely involved as both individual contributor with Signings and Billability and team signings (20M-25M) and team utilization metrics
  • Leading teams in the execution of consulting and project engagements and in growing teams to meet client and market expectations
