Job Description
DynaLIFE, has been providing laboratory and diagnostic services to northern Albertans for more than 50 years. We are a privately owned laboratory and are proud to partner with Alberta Health Services to deliver medical diagnostic services across central and northern Alberta. The strategic role of the IT Desktop Support I is to provide technical support for software and hardware network equipment to ensure that the organization can effectively operate.


Major Functions And Responsibilities


  • Provide support for healthcare applications including Sunquest and Copath.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office (2010, 2013) and Win/dows (7, 8.1) workstations and tablets.
  • Assess the need for, and implement performance upgrades to, PC's.
  • Provide technical support throughout the organization as required.
  • Coordinate and facilitate move, add, and change requests as required.
  • Conduct deployment of computer hardware and software.
  • Install, configure, test, maintatin and troubleshoot end user hardware and software.
  • Maintain inventory of all computer hardware.
  • Collaborate with Systems Administrators to ensure efficient operation of the desktop computing environment.

Required Experience


  • Working knowledge of Health Information Act, Privacy legislation, and other guidelines and regulations
  • Experience supporting Skype for Business (Lync) corporate UC systems.
  • Experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory drivers abstract.
  • A+ certification preferred.
  • College diploma or University degree in the field of computer science or software engineering or 2+ years equivalent work experience.

  • Individuals hired into all positions must provide verification of their highest level of education.
  • A security clearance with vulnerable sector completed may be required for employees newly hired to DynaLIFE
