Medical Laboratory Assistant I (Open To Internal Dynalife And Apl Applicants Only)

Core Lab at DynaLIFE consists of distinct testing areas for Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis. In our Core Lab department you will experience a high volume, well organized, efficient environment with strict quality control guidelines in place. The department relies heavily on team work to meet operational requirements.
Major Functions And Responsibilities

• Perform fridge/freezer/centrifuge maintenance function
• The successful candidate will not be testing specimens, however, they will receive/prepare/sort specimens for testing. Upon completion of testing, they will cap and store specimens
• General cleaning and housekeeping duties including washing of lab glassware/racks
• Restocking of supplies
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist in training new staff
• Receiving/unpacking/ordering of lab reagents/supplies; ability to lift 50 lbs is required
• Daily discard of patient samples

Required Experience

• Glass wash in a Laboratory environment
• Must have experience within the past 6 months working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant in a high-volume Laboratory
• Must have experience performing one or more of the following:
• Unloading specimens from instrumentation / discard of specimens
• Performing fridge/freezer/centrifuge maintenance
• Preparation of specimens for loading on instrumentation

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
