Medical Laboratory Assistant Ii (Open To Internal Dynalife And Apl Applicants Only)

Operating 24/7, the Specimen Processing department plays a key role in the delivery of customer focused laboratory services and is vital to the operation of the laboratory. As a team member in this fast-paced environment, you will utilize skills in data entry, specimen processing, communication and customer service.
Major Functions And Responsibilities

• Phoning patient results as required
• Specimen referral to outside agencies
• Distribution of patient reports
• Specimen Processing
• Receiving, sorting and delivering specimens
• Acting as a resource for variety of customer questions
• Distribution of interoffice mail
• Data entry and labeling patient specimens

Required Skills

• Must be thorough, accurate and detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Keyboarding skills and basic computer knowledge

Required Experience

• Current experience working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant II in Specimen Processing is an asset

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program or equivalent
